| How is the washi paper material used for tatami mats made? | Washi paper is colored with resin. The colored paper is processed into a straw shape. These straws are then woven together with thread. |
| Is this material resistant to mold？ | While this material isn't completely mold-free, it significantly reduces mold growth. Natural grass materials are the most susceptible to mold. |
| Does this material discolor over time due to aging? | While it doesn't discolor as much as natural grass materials, some slight discoloration may occur. |
| What are the drawbacks of this material? | The biggest advantage is that it doesn't have the scent of rush grass. While the fact that the color hardly changes is a plus, the downside is that dirt can sometimes be more noticeable because the color doesn't change. |
