Pick a surface, then a size and core. That is the whole price list. Below, each part of the sum opens up, and your room turns into a total.
縁 Border cloth is included. Exports carry no Japanese consumption tax. Packing and freight are quoted with your order.
Start from a typical room
Step 1 · Heri, the edge
This sets which surfaces you can choose. Borderless mats need a denser weave, so they start higher.
Step 2 · Omote, the surface
Three materials. Each card says what it is good at and what to know first. The scale below shows every surface at once, priced for a standard mat.
Step 3 · Toko, the core and size
One table covers every combination. Each cell is the amount added to the surface price. Your room in step 4 picks the size for you.
| Core |
|---|
Thickness 20–60 mm is included on fiberboard cores. Seiryu Stripe and Chura washi need 50 mm or more.
Step 4 · Ma, your room
Choose a layout and enter the room. We size each mat to the millimetre; here you see roughly how big they come out and how many you need.
Step 5 · Delivery
Your country decides which cores can enter. The shipping method decides how long it takes and which fees you pay locally.
What the total is made of
The mats are a fixed price from this page. The rest depends on weight, route and your country, so we quote it in writing.
Tip for sea freight: pay port and inland delivery fees directly to your local agent. If they are prepaid from Japan, customs may add duty and VAT on top of them.
Every colour and spec
Each page lists every surface with photos and its price per mat, from the same price data as this page.
