About this core
Fiberboard & foam core. Our standard core: wood fiberboard with a foam layer. Light, stable and accepted by every country we ship to.
Mat thickness 20–60 mm at the listed price. For very thin mats of 13 mm or 15 mm we use the Zetron foam core, at JPY 10,000 extra per mat.
Good to know
- Every mat is made to your measurements, in 1 mm steps. Each mat in a room can be a different size.
- Half mats are square and cost 70% of a full mat. Laying them in alternate directions gives the classic Ryukyu checkerboard look.
- Production takes 3–4 weeks, depending on how busy our workshop is. Sea freight adds 6–8 weeks to the port; air courier about 1 week.
- We prepare export packing and the documents for customs and trade agreements.
