Climate Adapt combines Zetron with high-density foam. It is recommended for dry regions, humid regions, strongly air-conditioned interiors, and properties that are often left unoccupied for extended periods.

Our standard 40-60 mm core combines firm wood-fibre board with high-density Kanelite Foam. The wood-fibre board provides stable support and a flat finish, while the foam is denser and more durable than ordinary expanded polystyrene, adding cushioning and insulation without excessive weight.

Our 25-35 mm standard core uses two layers of firm wood-fibre board. The layered construction provides stable support and a clean, even surface when a thinner tatami profile is required.

This solid core is built from three or four layers of wood-fibre board. It provides a firm feel, excellent dimensional stability, and substantial support for projects that require a dense tatami core.

Traditional rice-straw core is made by stacking more than 30 cm of carefully dried straw, compressing it to approximately 5 cm, and stitching the layers firmly together. It offers the authentic weight, resilience, and feel of traditional Japanese tatami.

Zetron, manufactured by Sekisui, is a dense and resilient cushioning material developed for reliable performance. It keeps the tatami comparatively lightweight while providing lasting support and practical resistance to changing indoor conditions.

Hinoki core is made from chips of Japanese cypress that are compressed into a firm panel. It combines natural Japanese wood material with stable support and the distinctive character associated with hinoki.

This core is intended for rooms where an underfloor-heating system is installed beneath the wooden floor. Its construction helps heat pass through the tatami efficiently while reducing heat-related stress and damage to the core.
